Slipping

A week without tracking and blogging, without preparing my plate before eating.  Too much grabbing of "bites" after long bouts of manual labor at work--pretzels, a muffin and a glass of milk, bites of my kids' chocolate Easter bunnies, potato chips.  Carb endulgences begat more cravings.

So...I started toying this afternoon with an escape from tomorrow's weigh-in.  The first meeting I want to skip in 17 weeks.  "Maybe just one", I thought several times.  I don't want to face the music and I am playing games with myself.  I've lost something every week for 16 weeks.  But, tomorrow will be different.

Must go anyway.  This is my year.  No excuses.  Face the music.  I love myself too much to quit, and little eyes are watching me.

4/12-4/13/12

The last two days have been about trying to grab the right things while busy at work. I've been doing a lot of gardening, lifting bags of mulch, etc. at work, so I noticed that I needed to add in a little carb here and there this week to avoid feeling woozy. I cut back on the coffee and upped my water. Hoping for a nice loss this week!

Turkey...seriously, there wasn't much at work and I kept grabbing healthy things instead of Goldfish, chocolate, chips, etc.

4/11/12

Victory!  Man, I waded through temptations today.  Easter chocolate, skipping meals, eating extra butter, bites of this and that.
Instead, I:
  • journaled my food and counted my Weight Watchers Points Plus. 
  • didn't put unnecessary foods in my mouth. 
  • ate more fruits and veggies to avoid starving, and an after-work crash. 
  • drank tons of water and less coffee.
  • remembered my goals.
Today was light on iPhone pics, so I won't include them 'cause I'm tired.  I'll get back to that tomorrow.

Breakfast
2 cups of coffee, each with 2 T organic half and half
1 organic pastured egg scrambled in 1 tsp butter
1/2 small flour tortilla

Lunch
deli turkey, 4 oz
2 cups organic baby spinach
2 T honey mustard dressing

Snack
apple
1 T pastured butter

Snack
deli turkey, 2 oz

Dinner
2 slices Rudi's gluten free bread
4 oz grass fed chuck roast, shredded
mustard
pickles
pineapple
homegrown beets w/ organic cider vinegar
small homegrown tossed salad and 1 tsp Italian dressing

Exercise
I loaded 4 bags of cedar mulch into my van first thing this morning.  I applied it to our school butterfly garden, spread it, and planted with the kids.  Though formalized exercies has waned in the last two weeks, I have been working hard (physical!) at my job.

Weeks 13, 14, 15 Wrap-Up

The stats...

Week 13 -0.6 lbs Total: 23.6

Week 14 -0.6 lbs Total: 24.2 achieved 10% loss of 24 lbs; earned 10% keychain

Week 15 -0.8 lbs Total: 25 lbs; earned 25 lb circle pendant

I am happy to have lost 25 lbs in 15 weeks! The last two weeks, I have allowed stress and a busy schedule to interfere with tracking points, exercise, and blogging. To achieve my ultimate goal of losing 100-110 lbs by my 40th birthday in December, I need to step it up! I can easily be losing 2 lbs a week...

It is beyond awesome to pull clothes that are too large out of my closet to send to Goodwill! Also, my husband is really starting to notice my weight loss. It means so much that he is taking time to notice it AND to mention it!
