1/18/12

Weight Watchers is getting a bad rap for sponsoring foods whose nutritional value are questionable. I understand the debate, and yet I want to be clear that I "do" WW in a way that works for me. For me, eating as much organic, local, grass-fed/pastured, and real food is my current life insurance policy. Why be skinny and rotting on the inside? So, I'm truly trying to put the healthiest foods possible in my body, and WW helps me know how much to put in.

Breakfast: grapefruit and smoked almonds, coffee w/half and half

Lunch: out with husband! I ate the steak, salsa, guac, sautéed peppers and onions, and charred jalapeño. For the first time EVER I skipped the chips! I saved the beans, rice, and flour tortillas for one of our teacher's daughter.

PM Snack: tea and PB w/ raisins

Dinner: 1/2 cup marinara/meat sauce, large romaine salad w/ homemade lemon vinaigrette

I walked 55 minutes and feel refreshed and tired! I still have 6 points plus leftover from today and activity points from the walk. I'm hungry. Small snack before bed...
