1/2/12, Make a Plan

Today was my first day back at work, and the first tests in the "real world" in some ways. It required writing things down and portioning before eating. Thinking twice about "just taking a bite". Deciding that one bite was all I would allow myself before I got started (read: peanut butter brittle someone placed by the school coffee pot).

Mid-morning, I sat down and sketched out lunch and dinner with point totals. Having lots of things stocked at school and ready to eat make my mornings at home less stressful because everything I need is already in place for me with no need to pack lunch.

Breakfast: 2 eggs fried in butter, apple with almond butter

My plan...

I enjoyed a salad I forgot to photograph: spring greens, roast chicken thigh, feta, vinaigrette.

Dinner: roast turkey breast in homemade gravy (nearly fat-free, gluten-free), green beans and shallots, mashed sweet potato with coconut oil (for metabolism).

My daughters and I worked out for 30 minutes--played really. We jumped rope, did pushups, and walked/sprinted in intervals. This is me jumping rope.
