First thing today after breakfast, I took two of my children (and the dog) to the track to get my workout out of the way. After the workout, I ran an errand to pick up some craft supplies for later in the day, then dug into cleaning the house with all 3 kids.
Normally, I would lounge and read for hours on Sunday morning, dreaming instead of taking action. I would read about working out and eye up other folks' cute ideas on Pinterest. Today, though, I did the "real thing" instead. A workout, cleaning, and crafting!
I already feel "slimmer", but part of this journey is learning to really look at myself! I can't believe how far I let myself go. Thank God I'm still inspired to make this the year I defeat obesity after seeing these pics. I do love and forgive me, though. That's important.
Walking toward my daughter...too many rolls!
Running away! I walked 20 minutes then did intervals (running for 30 seconds and walking for 1 minute) totaling 10 minutes.
My son...always active!
Daughter and dog...
Breakfast: 2 eggs fried hard in butter, tomato slices, coffee with half and half
Lunch at my parents' house: fruit cup, roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, and fennel; 5 oz lean grass fed beef, beets, califlowery vegetable w/ 2 tsp mayo based dip
Small dinner roll w/ 1 T butter, 2 more oz beef
Coffee w/ half and half, 2 Girl Scout Thin Mints
Instead of going crazy with desserts and mini candy bars at my parents', I limited myself to the coffee and 2 cookies. I planned a family craft to keep my hands busy and my mind off food.
Nice! It inspired me to decorate the house for my kids...I'm not always on top of this for them and it is one of my regrets!
Dinner: pork tamale w/ green salsa
Snack: 1 oz macadamia nuts
