2/19/12

Weekly update: I lost 0.8 lbs this week. I was happy with that since I only felt like working out on Monday with my personal trainer. I had a terrible cold all week as did my husband. The week before, I lost over 3 pounds. I'm averaging a consistent 2 pounds off each week. I can't complain, and I still feel satisfied and under control. So...in 8 weeks I've lost 17.2 lbs and I have 92.8 lbs to go to reach my Weight Watcher's goal weight.

Yesterday was my day off--if keeps me focused on eating right all week, stimulates my appetite, and while I don't count points for the day, I also use up all if my extra 39 points for the week in my cheat. The rest of the week I only use my allotted daily points and any earned activity points. I didn't eat great volumes Saturday, but I did have: coffee with half and half, a sample bag of WW cheese crisps, 2 slices Costco pepperoni pizza, 3.5 oz giant bar of dark chocolate with salt and almonds, gluten free pretzels with a few T of homemade honey mustard dressing, a handful of French fries, and finally 1/2 of a chicken bacon cheese quesadilla from my kids' trip to Cheddar's with my parents and my sister's family.

Today I didn't eat "breakfast" until almost noon. I mowed the yard and cleared several of our garden beds for Spring planting in the next couple of weeks. We have been fortunate to have spinach and lettuces since Fall. Carrots, radishes, cilantro, collard greens, and now peas are plentiful. I love having fresh veggies right outside our kitchen door!

Eggs, bacon, avocado, pico de gallo, grapefruit...

Smoked almonds and raisins...

Salad w/ homemade apple cider vinaigrette, ground beef from the shepherd's pie the family ate...

Still hungry: 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard...

Points left at the very end of the day, and still needing a little extra something to curb hunger. I don't turn to cookies, carbs, or I've cream. Protein or fat will do the trick. How about satisfying fat? 1 T "butter" cheese (unsalted butter)...

Today's activity points are banked for later in the week when I feel I need them.
