My son!
The park is close to my parents' house, so we had lunch with them. My mom always makes pretty fruit salads, served in cute cups!
I had one pork and vegetable eggroll, skipping mom's yummy homemade fried rice.
Late afternoon snack: homegrown carrots, cucumber, 2T organic hummus, 2 oz deli turkey...
And the last couple bites of the dark chocolate bar with hazelnuts I've been working on all week...
The snacks fired me up for a workout, 15 minutes of kettle bells, 12 two-hand swings/minute x 15 minutes...
I made this week's dressings while dinner cooked: (Bragg's) apple cider vinaigrette, Caesar (lemon juice/olive oil base), and balsamic vinaigrette. My kids love these, and often eat two salads so they can have a different dressing with each.
Dinner: roasted organic chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, homegrown Romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing and 2T Parmesan. I enjoyed the crispy chicken skin tonight!
Today's log...
I earned 3 Activity Points Plus today...
Under "thoughts for the day" I'm celebrating that my mom took my blood sugar after lunch today and it was in the 120s. As heavy as I've been in the last decade, I've never had a problem with blood sugar, and I don't want to! If I hadn't committed to losing weight this year, I'm sure I would have been diabetic before long.
