Week 12 Wrap-Up

Me on the deck at Central Market after my weekly Weight Watchers meeting...time to meet with "me" now.

Mmmm...coffee and a breakfast taco. This meeting has been called to order.

This week's Weekly features one of my favorite Weight Watchers bloggers, Sheryl Yvette.  She rocks a cruiser bike, too.

I lost one pound this week. I thought for sure I'd nailed two, especially with adding kettle bells back into my routine. Today's meeting topic was about thinking positively, especially when the scale doesn't show what you want. Fitting, eh?

Here's what I can celebrate this week:

1. I lost weight over Spring Break with three kids in tow. Sea World, a renaissance fair, the zoo, eating out, lots of snacks and treats for sale, my husband buying 4 flavors of fudge. I navigated it all with control, not feeling deprived.

2. I earned 23 Activity Points Plus this week. My goal was to earn 20-24.

3. I added kettle bells back into my life and I love them, inspired again by my purchase of Tracy Reifkind's new book The Swing!.  In April, I'm going to graduate from my 15 lb kettle bell to a 12 kg (a little more than 26 lbs).

4. My husband is working out and watching what he eats and I am so proud of him!

5. My kids are watching my journey. They ask me about "points" a lot. We don't restrict what they eat besides having just having a few treats around the house and watching gluten. They eat lots of fruits, veggies, and protein. I'm proud.

6. My eight year old daughter measured me last night for a green satin dress that she is going to make me for my 40th birthday party when "you lose all your weight". Sweet.

7. Shirts, pants, and underwear are starting to feel loose, and I'm cinching my bras tighter. I threw a pair of black panel-less MATERNITY trousers in the Goodwill pile. I loved the fit all these years because they weren't tight on my belly. Do I need to remind you that my youngest child is almost 6?

8. I bought a new pair of trousers in size 16, one size down. I also fit into a pair of size 16 jeans my sister gave me a few months back.

87 lbs to go...Sounds way more manageable than the 110 when I started 12/31/11.

My exercise plan for the upcoming week...
