3/16/12

Another Spring Break day trip today to a local renaissance fest, our first. We had breakfast at home, then packed up our lunches for the road. This saves money, sure, but more importantly it keeps my eating on track and the rest of my family, too. One of my daughters is sensitive to gluten, so we are conscious of keeping her to just one serving of gluten per day.

I woke up at about 2:30 this morning, squished between my husband and one daughter. I read Paleo blogs and did laundry, so now that evening is here, I'm exhausted!

Breakfast: 3 strips of bacon and 2 eggs fried hard in 1 tsp butter

My girls...

My son...

My husband and I...

My packed lunch: pepperoni, hard-boiled egg, cucumber slices, homegrown carrots, and 1 T homemade Caesar dressing (in the bottle)...

More lunch: 2 T almond butter, large organic apple, sliced

Snack: fudge! My husband bought a small piece of 4! kinds of fudge at the faire...Dude, what are you doing to me? I had a nibble of three kinds and counted the points as if I'd eaten a full 1"x2" piece. I was super-proud of my restraint.

Dinner (it cooked in the crockpot while we were gone): homemade pastured pork/grass fed beef meatballs in organic marinara sauce w/ Parmesan cheese...

After dinner snack (taking it easy before tomorrow's weigh-in): chamomile tea w/ stevia sweetener, 5 oz grapes

Today's log...

I earned a conservative 4 activity points hiking around the faire...I ended the week with 11 unused activity points. I try not to "eat" all of the Activity Points Plus if I can avoid it. If I'm truly hungry though, I listen to my body and eat!
